If you ever happen to find yourself in the Bozeman, Montana, area and in need of a place to stay, I would highly recommend the Gallatin River Lodge. A wonderful western-style lodge, the Gallatin River Lodge is everything I could ever want in a lodge or hotel. Nestled in the Gallatin Valley, snow-topped mountains cap stunning scenery surrounding this small lodge in Big Sky country.
Steve Gamble, the owner and a fellow fishing guide, is a hardworking, generous soul, and is easy to talk with. The entire staff at the lodge is absolutely tremendous, making guests feel warmly welcomed. From my first encounter to my last, I felt as if I had known them all for years, which was a wonderful experience.
The lodge is about to open a new building that will house an additional 4 bedrooms, bringing the total to 10 total guest rooms. A dining room expansion is already planned, making what are already awesome accommodations even better. A destination place for overnight guests, the Gallatin River Lodge is also a tremendous gathering spot for diners, as their busy dining room will attest.
And after a day on the Gallatin River, or one of the other famous rivers in the area, the patio is an awesome place to relax over a beer or two.
So next time you’re in Bozeman, check out the Gallatin River Lodge—you’ll be glad you did! I’m counting the days until I can get back there for some great food, great people, great scenery, comfortable lodging appointments, and some pretty awesome fishing.
